Malte Burba was born in Frankfurt/Main in 1957 and studied trumpet, piano, musicology and music pedagogy. In addition, he acquired knowledge in phonetics and medicine. After teaching in Cologne, Luxemburg and Berlin, he is currently teaching in Mainz and at the Hochschule für Musik (College of Music) Carl Maria von Weber in Dresden.
