In 1972, Branimir Slokar has begun his successful pedagogical occupation at the Conservatory of Music in Bern. From 1993 to 2013 he was professor at the College of Music in Freiburg (Germany). Branimir Slokar regularly gives master courses in different countries worldwide. During this long lasting teaching, numerous excellent trombone players have finished from his school. He is also known as an author of most different methods for the trombone composition for beginners to the most advanced trombone player. In 1973, he founded the “Slokar Trombone Quartet” raising to an excellent level of brilliance and musical authenticity. 2010 Branimir Slokar was awarded by the International Trombone Association with the “Neill Humfeld Award for Teaching Excellence”.
